............and i cant wait to enter your contest:eager:......i just hope that i get my entry in on time...i love how you have made it a traditional media contest only!!! it seems to be a dying art....so thank you very much for acknowledging us:):):)

I felt that too many young people were getting into digital art prematurely before they have the fundamental drawing and painting skills mastered and coming up with nothing but photomanipulation or simple coloring that leave a lot to be desired. Although I do my share of digital art, traditional art will always reign supreme in my thinking because it really can be far more challenging.

I would like to see more people host contests for younger artists, too. There are many talented young artists working in traditional media that deserve more attention(and pageviews and watchers :D).

I definetly agree. They dont learn the basic skills of line and tone which is nessessary to create a true piece of art. And i also think that traditional art is far more challenging and shows more natural talent.

exactly! there are so many traditional artist that are being pushed to the side for digital art. well..your competition i think is already a big success by the number of entries. so maybe another one will be coming soon under your name? that would be brilliant :)
